People and Culture / HR Coordinator

One of Australia’s largest not-for-profit organisations is seeking a People and Culture / HR Coordinator to join their dynamic, collaborative HR team.

Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner, this diverse and busy role will play a vital part in supporting the HR team in all areas of the HR and recruitment lifecycle. This includes the refinement of organisation policies and procedures as well as advice on a number of awards and legislation to their various entities across NSW and ACT.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Support to the HR Team in relation to generalist HR activities including drafting letters of offer and contracts, onboarding and inductions, scheduling training administrative work, and policy and procedure management
  • Managing the People and Culture Inbox and providing first level responses to a variety of HR and recruitment queries in a prompt and informative manner
  • Assisting the People and Culture team with internal filing
  • Assist with the implementation of a HR Information System
  • Assist with the overall management of employee-related information within SharePoint/CRM
  • Assist with rollout of staff engagement activities across the entities
  • Identify and implement HR projects on an ad hoc basis
  • Assist in the end-to-end recruitment process including phone screening and interview coordination

You will have:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Human Resources or relevant professional experience
  • Previous experience in a HR Coordinator role
  • Strong awards knowledge in areas such as hospitality and Clerks etc.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously
  • Comfortable and ideally experienced working within a manual process environment
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in an efficient and effective manner
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and improve processes
